According to the statistics of the Universidad de Chile, the students who enter our School are those who have obtained the highest scores in the university selection tests and, therefore, are part of the intellectual elite of our country.
At the end of the second year of their studies, these students choose a major from among the options offered by the Faculty, and a group of students from the Common Plan chooses Electrical Engineering. That is why the DIE seeks to generate motivating and stimulating environments for them to develop their skills to the maximum throughout their career, maintaining a good infrastructure of teaching laboratories and computer rooms, aiming that our students become familiar with current instruments and systems along with the learning of the various disciplines of electrical engineering.
The demands of the career and an outstanding academic performance have made that, in the last five years, students have had access to internships in European and North American universities, or participate in International Scientific Congresses. These opportunities are ongoing and the DIE helps to channel the interests of its students with these concerns.
