Graduation Profile of the FCFM Engineer
The objective of the new curriculum – in force since 2007 – is to preserve and strengthen the positive aspects that have traditionally characterized and highlighted the professionals of the School and, in addition, to develop additional skills that strengthen their status as global, innovative and excellent professionals.
Achieve a strong command of mathematics and basic sciences, including the ability to design experiments, obtain, use and interpret data and be able to apply this knowledge where it is required.
Acquire a strong background in engineering science and be proficient in current technology and be able to adapt to changes in technology.
Develop engineering design skills and have the ability to pose and solve open-ended problems or problems that require a multidisciplinary approach and teamwork.
To develop the capacity for invention, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as critical thinking.
Acquire and exercise the capacity for self-learning, and become aware of the importance of maintaining this habit after graduation.
They will be able to pursue postgraduate studies if they so wish in order to maximize their contribution to the creation and adaptation of technologies in the productive sectors.
Communicate effectively, orally, in writing and graphically, both in Spanish and English, and this ability should be exercised throughout the curriculum.
Acquire competence in economic analysis and administration, regardless of the specialty they follow.
Understand their role in society and recognize the importance of ethical behavior both in their studies and later in their professional life, and act accordingly.
Graduation Profile of the Civil Electrical Engineer
The profile of the Civil Electrical Engineer, in force for those who entered the Common Plan in 2007, is based on competencies that will be developed throughout the career. They can be divided into two groups:
Interprets, selects and applies scientific and technological developments related to Electrical Engineering, using fundamentals of engineering sciences and multidisciplinary training.
Acquires new knowledge and techniques for the conception, development and execution of projects related to Electrical Engineering.
Evaluates and proposes solutions to problems in the field of Electrical Engineering from the technical and economic point of view, considering practical limitations.
Evaluates Electrical Engineering projects technically and economically.
Conceives, organizes, implements and manages projects in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Conceives, designs, implements and operates systems in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Conceives solutions to Electrical Engineering problems, considering productive, environmental and/or social needs.
Solves problems and optimizes solutions, using concepts, approaches and methodologies of systems in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Designs systems, circuits and devices in the field of Electrical Engineering.
Manifests a dynamic and visionary leadership in the exercise of his profession.
Generates for himself and for his work team, an ethical space based on probity, solidarity, respect and tolerance for people.
Works in multidisciplinary teams, assuming leadership in matters that are inherent to his profession.
Manifests a positive attitude to assume the changes that are presented to him/her.
